“Through the Designer’s Direction…Technical craft becomes an art.” Martin Solomon

This is another quote project, this time the experimental printmaking technique is letterpress. Using the laser cutting machine i was able to cut out the individual letters and affix them to a 44″ x 1.5″ x 1″ stick to make a type rule. This was then printed repeatedly to show the effectiveness of this technique.

In true essence of the quote the technical craft did become an art and the type rule became the centre piece to the whole project.
