Kid Acne Event Poster.

The challenge of this poster is to get across the graffiti type of ‘Kid Acne’ without being obvious and using spray paint. The solution was to take the method of drawing in environment and place the poster on the stairs of the venue. This attracted interest throughout the construction of the project. The artwork was applied to the stairs so it could be read from above and whilst walking up them. The piece was in situe for just over a week until the final posters were added to show event times and actual locations of the talks. The piece was made with a series of coloured tape running down the stairs in E Block of the Psalter Lane campus at Sheffield Hallam University. The type was drawn directly onto the stairs with the tape to represent the various methods one could use to spread a message quickly and effectively. The whole piece took over three hours to make from concept. The
piece was temporary and has since been removed.
